Refunds,
straight answers.
Where you can cancel, where you can claim back, and where you cannot — explained plainly, without hiding behind small print. Applies to any paid Service NextSpace Labs offers, including our app subscriptions and in-app purchases.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy governs refund and cancellation questions on:
- Subscription plans purchased directly from NextSpace Labs or through our applications (for example, a monthly Pro subscription);
- One-time purchases of in-app digital items, including virtual currency and one-off packs, gifts, or feature unlocks;
- Paid services we may offer to business clients under a written agreement (in which case the written agreement governs any conflict with this page).
App-store purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are also subject to the store’s own refund rules (see section 8).
2. Free-look / cooling-off period
Where a law (for example, EU/UK consumer law) grants you a mandatory cooling-off period, that period applies. If a Service is delivered as immediately-supplied digital content and you have expressly consented to that supply starting straight away, the statutory right of withdrawal for digital content may not apply — and, where required by law, we tell you this at checkout before you agree.
Where the law does not impose a mandatory cooling-off period, we offer a discretionary seven-day satisfaction window on first-time subscription purchases: if you cancel within seven days of your first paid subscription and you have not consumed a material portion of the Service’s value in that period, we will refund the subscription fee.
3. Subscriptions — cancellation
- You may cancel a subscription at any time, from the account settings inside the product, or by writing to us.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You keep access to the paid features until then.
- We do not automatically pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a billing cycle — but where a statutory right requires a pro-rated refund, that right is honoured.
- You will not be charged again after cancellation. UPI Autopay mandates and other recurring authorisations are revoked with the payment provider on cancellation.
4. Subscriptions — refunds
Outside the cooling-off window in section 2, subscription refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis for reasons including:
- The Service was materially unavailable to you for an extended period during a billing cycle due to an issue on our side;
- You were charged in error, twice, or after a valid cancellation;
- The subscription features you paid for were substantially misrepresented in a way that misled you at purchase;
- You have a statutory right to the refund under a law that applies to you.
Requests for a goodwill refund outside these categories are reviewed but not guaranteed.
5. In-app currency, gifts, and one-off packs
In-app virtual currency and other one-time digital items are treated as immediately-delivered digital content. Once credited to your account, they are generally non-refundable, except:
- Where a purchase failed but you were charged, or where you were charged twice for the same pack — we refund the erroneous charge as soon as we can confirm it;
- Where a specific statutory right applies to you and requires a refund;
- Where an in-app currency purchase was made from an account that has since been terminated for a policy breach we caused — the unused currency is refunded, less any usage;
- Where we withdraw a feature you paid for before you have had a fair opportunity to use it.
In-app currency is a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access product features — it has no cash value, is not a stored-value instrument, is not a prepaid payment instrument under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts. This is a design choice we make openly, so that no user reasonably treats in-app balances as savings.
6. Talent / creator earnings and payouts
- Earnings credited to talent, creator, or matchmaker accounts on our Services are subject to the payout terms set out inside the product and, where applicable, a separate creator agreement.
- Payouts are issued through our licensed payment partner (currently Cashfree Payouts) subject to KYC and identity-verification completion, in accordance with applicable law.
- We may withhold, reverse, or claw back earnings connected to a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, fraud, or a chargeback initiated by the paying user.
- Statutory tax withholding is applied to payouts where required by Indian tax law or the tax law of your jurisdiction.
7. Chargebacks & disputed transactions
- Before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer or bank, please contact us at connect@nxtspacelabs.com. Most issues resolve faster and cheaper by direct contact.
- An accepted chargeback voids the transaction. We may reverse the corresponding in-product benefit, in-app currency, or feature access, and (where a pattern of chargebacks suggests abuse) suspend the account under our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Nothing in this section limits your right to dispute a transaction with your bank or issuer under the law that applies to you.
8. Google Play & Apple App Store purchases
When you buy through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, the store is the seller of record. Their refund windows apply, and you may need to raise a refund request with them directly:
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory → the order → “Request a refund”. Google usually responds within a few days.
- Apple App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com → select the purchase → “Request a refund”.
If a store refuses a refund you believe is warranted, write to us and we will review the case on our side and, where appropriate, credit the equivalent benefit to your account or advocate with the store on your behalf.
9. Currency, tax, and processing time
- Refunds are made in the original currency and to the original payment method wherever the payment scheme allows.
- Currency conversion, cross-border, or scheme fees applied by your card issuer or bank are not within our control and may not be refunded.
- Approved refunds are typically processed within seven business days on our side. The time your bank or card scheme takes to credit the refund to your statement is separate, and can be up to 10 further business days.
- Taxes are refunded together with the underlying charge, where the applicable tax law permits.
10. How to request a refund or cancellation
- Cancel a subscription: use the in-product cancel control, or write to us.
- Request a refund: write to connect@nxtspacelabs.com with the subject line “Refund Request”. Include your account email, the transaction ID or order number, the payment method, and a short description of the reason.
- We aim to acknowledge refund requests within three business days and to reach a decision as promptly as reasonably possible. Where a specific statutory timeline applies to you, we comply with that timeline.
11. Business clients & custom agreements
If you are a business customer on a written agreement with NextSpace Labs (for example, an enterprise services engagement), the refund, credit, and termination terms of that written agreement govern over this page to the extent they conflict.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our paid services evolve. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify affected users through the Service or by email where required by law. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
